Visit down south, get away from snow NOT.

I guess winter is still here, we went to Utah to get away from the snow for a couple of days. Will that wasn't to be because Utah had a big snow storm a couple of days before we left Rexburg. The roads were fine going down, but the snow was piled up in the yards. Tara's yard had some good sized drifts that reminded me of home. Tom's yard had some snow as well, the only good thing about Utah it was starting to get warm enough to melt off the snow.

When we got home on Monday we still had the same amount of snow on the ground. We hope we brought some of the warmer air with us and maybe we can get some of our snow to melt.

We had a great time visiting with all of the grandkids and seeing our kids. I even took some pictures of Isabella and Alex. Here are a couple for you to see how much Isabella has grown.

What a winter we are having

We just got an additional 7 inches of snow last night with more expected today. Just so you can see what we are dealing with I went out and took some pictures. Looks like I will be getting on the roof and doing a little shoveling. the pictures of the back yard show the snow blower almost buried, it makes it hard to blow the snow over all we have.

Month gone by already

The month of Janurary is gone already. We had a great month with all the kids visiting at one time or another. We missed seeing Tom and Alicia, but with their new baby Isabella, they didn't want to take her out. They all came up to the Rexburg Temple open house. what a great experience that was.
We are also having a winter for the first time in a few years, we have snow clear up to my waist. It's great to have the snow I hope it doesn't all melt at the same time. We still wonder why we decided to stay in this country. It has been a good place to raise our children and some of the weather is not bad.
